Neighbourhood Policing Week – Your Local Update |
||
|
Local neighbourhood policing remains a key priority for us across the Met and is central to how we keep London safe. Over the past year, this focus has contributed to strong reductions in offences such as robbery, bike theft and burglary. As your local Neighbourhood Inspector, I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some of the work your Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) have been carrying out: Over the past two days: These examples reflect just a small part of the work carried out daily by your neighbourhood policing teams. Our officers are embedded within the community and work around the clock to keep you safe, dealing with a wide range of issues—from anti-social behaviour and theft to serious offences and violence. They also work closely alongside Response Teams, who attend emergency incidents. Our priority is to tackle crime through a collaborative, problem-solving approach. By working closely with partners such as the local authority, businesses, and community groups, we aim to address the root causes of crime and deliver long-term solutions. Thank you for continuing to engage with us on Met Engage. We are here to support you—if there are issues affecting your area, please do get in touch. | ||
